Lucifer did not have parents.He, like Adam and Eve, was created by God.

The fact that God created the Devil is true. But, not as stated above. The story of the Devil is a sad one. God created the Angels. Among the Angels, he created Lucifer, and Lucifer was more beautiful than the other Angels, and God favored him. God also created Man. God gave men souls and "free will"--the choice to follow and obey him. The angels were not given souls. They are Gods Legions, and never will have "Grace". Lucifer became proud of his beauty. He was envious of man and God's "Grace". The story is that he lead a revolt against God, and for his transgression, he and those that followed him were cast into the "fiery pit" we call Hell. He was, however, given freedom to roam the earth to influence mankind. So, God rules the Heavens, and the Devil was given Earth as his domain to influence mankind. The other angels that were cast out are known as "minions".
