According to the AARP website, the stimulus payments of $250 per person or $500 per couple to retirees and other Social Security beneficiaries will be sent out in May. If you normally receive your Social Security payments by mail, you will receive a paper check in the mail and if you normally have your funds direct deposited, your payment will be transmitted electronically to you bank account.

tax dollars back that i have all ready paid unfortunately we will be paying for this down the road again i have never received government assistance i am proud go get a job

∙ 15y agoBeing on welfare by itself does not qualify or disqualify anyone from getting a stimulus check.
If the welfare recipient met the other qualifications for getting a stimulus check (earned income, taxes paid, social security or veterans disability payments), then the welfare recipient would have been eligible to get a check. It is possible that someone worked for a few months in 2007, lost their job, and then went on welfare.
