It is hoped that sometime in the not-too-distant future Prince William of Wales will have children. In the meantime, Prince William will eventually become king. After he dies, one of his children will succeed him. According to current law, the sovereign's oldest son has the right to become king. If he dies before fathering a child, the throne will pass to his brother, Prince Harry.
Who knows? Perhaps one day Prince William will have a daughter, whom he will name Diana after his mother. And perhaps this Diana might one day inherit the throne, and become queen.
