Max is left at level 3. Justin teaches a class of Wiz Tech delinquents to try and improve his chances of winning the wizard competition. Alex is then put into this class to improve her chances as well.
However, Alex then wins the wizard of the year award, for clearing up one of Justin's mistakes. She is therefore put back in the running for the wizard competition.
