Confederates.
Because a general licked a vagina
Vicksburg (July 63) released Grant to go to the aid of the Army of the Cumberland at Chattanooga.
About 350,000 Union soldiers died. About 250,000 Confederate soldiers died. The reason why more Union soldiers died is because the Union army had almost double the size of the Confederacy!
Union General Nathaniel Banks was involved in several battles in early March of 1864. Banks army at the Battle of Pleasant Hill were 20,000 men strong. He received 10,000 more troops when Vicksburg fell.
A difficult question, but it could be said that the US Army has lost more battles than the US Marines because the US Army has fought more battles than the US Marines. In some battles, victory or loss is debatable. At Chosin Reservoir the Marine retreat (or advance to the rear as it was called) has been blamed on the Army.
During the American Civil War, the Eastern Theater's military operations took place mainly in and around Virginia and Maryland. The main Union army stationed in this theater was known as the Army of the Potomac. Other Union armies were the Army of Virginia, the Army of the Cumberland, and Army of the Tennessee.
Yes. There were battles in the Civil War where union forces were outnumbered. When we study the battles in school, we generally stick to the major ones. There were many others. In a number of those, there were more confederates than Union solders.
As long as they want but the more battles you win the more you get paid.
no difference
2 Million 213 thousand Union and approximately 1 million Confederate, as accurate information is not available
Because the Union had a larger army, they had shoes, they had more money and better allies on they're back. One of the final battles, 8,000 Confederate soldiers died because they were too weak, they had no money for food, and they could't get food in becuase the Union had destroyed all the rail road tracks. The Union had also captured almost the entire Mississippi River, which made it easier to move south and north.
It depends entirely on what you consider a battle.
