I got it on my iPad and it works well. A litlle uncomfortable to play at first. I would recommend using your second and fourth finger though instead of your second and third because the ipad is bigger.
It all depends on how you use it. If you use it often and you need to always hold it in your hand then I would recommend an iPad sleeve. I posted a really good iPad sleeve in the Related Links section that you can buy on eBay. Now if you use it in like construction or in rough situations then I would recommend a hard case that covers the front.
