Itachi would win no dubt because he is an uchiha he posses ms and besides he said to orochimaru any technik you use will have no effect before my eyes and then oro flee from akatsuki because of itachi imense power and then oro said that niw itachi is stronger than me and at the end when itachi die by sasuke s hand before this itachi kills orocimaru with susanoo

yes he did . this long answer tells you way : after sasuke won orochimaru in the fight (only because orochimaru was sick and unable to defend himself) orochimaru get in sasuke's body without the ability to take control on it . afterwards sasuke had a battle against itachi and when orochimaru had an opportunity to take over sasuke he got out of the sasuke's body and tried to take control over it . itachi didnt let him do it and seald him forever .a little piece of orochimaru escaped as the form of a snake and that was the only way for orochimaru to live. but the black flames itachi created before he died, spread and burned the free snake. therefore ,itachi killed orochimaru. The above post is not entirely correct. Itachi sealed away Orochimaru, meaning he did not kill him, he has just been sealed away forever. Kabuto, however, also did a sort of transplant to absorb part of Orochimaru. It is not known whether or not a new Orochimaru will end up taking over Kabuto's body entirely.

Why is Orochimaru not in the Akatsuki any more?
He defected after failing to take Itachi Uchiha's Sharingan eyes. He branded Sasuke Uchiha (Itachi Uchiha's younger brother) with the Cursed Seal of Heaven in hopes of him coming to Orochimaru to find more power. He did this, and after 2 and 1/2 years of training Sasuke and Sasuke's Sharingan with Orochimaru, he prepared to steal Sasuke's body into his own so Orochimaru would have the Sharingan. He devoured Sasuke, but Sasuke's will eroded Orochimaru's jutsu (Living Corpse Reincarnation) and made Sasuke absorb Orochimaru into his body, thus backfiring the jutsu.

Orochimaru is dead, and the only other possible way to have oro fight Pein is to have Kabuto take what part of Orochimaru he has and fight him...before Konoha kills him. Even if Orochimaru were alive, Pein killed Jiraiya, so I highly doubt orochimaru would have a slight chance even. Errrr I hate to say this but yes he did die but started taking over Kabuto's body and 3/4 of it is already taken over Freaky people co. Orochimaru, interesting, but i think no, come on, Itachi killed him in 1 blow, sasuke killed him too, and now he is still trying to revive again to be killed again -_- what kind of villain is this?, a guy who loves to die is the answer
Is orochimaru still alive in Naruto Shippuden?
Sorta. Sasuke absorbed Orochimaru's body, so he gains all of his abilities etc, so technically he lives on. Regardless their is more to it in that in the manga. Later, Kabuto went hunting for Naruto, sucessfully finding him, he only wanted to chat though, during their chat he said how Naruto shown him the light and that he will become who he really wants to be, then showing that he had took Orochimaru's body inside on himself, he then said that Orochimaru was taking over his body, and that if it succesfully takes over Kabuto, he would be forever gone, meaning Orochimaru would come back. At that time Orochimaru took over 1/3rd of his body, by now he could be at 3/3, unless Kabuto got Orochimaru out somehow, though I don't think that is the case. Later Sasuke faced Itachi, Itachi (purpously) made Sasuke completely out of chakra, leaving Orochimaru open to take over Sasuke's body. Orochimaru then leaves Sasuke through the Curse Seal, where Itachi's Susanoo sucessfully seals Orochimaru forever in a genjutsu like world for eternity. So basically original Orochimaru is sealed forever inside a genjutsu like world, but a new Orochimaru is forming inside of Kabuto, one with the same personality, memories, desires etc etc. But this Orochimaru will be stronger as it is Kabuto + Orochimaru.

Sasuke never lost the curse mark. He does show great control over it now in shippuden and uses it as a weapon instead of a handicap though Actually it tells in manga401 that sasuke does actually get rid of the curse mark after itachi kills the remains of oorochimaru inside of sasuke. and also by killing oorochimaru sasuke was able to transform his sharingan into mangekeyo sharingan. itachi planned out sasuke whole life so that he would be safe so actually itachi was never bad he just wanted to protect sasuke and the leaf village.if u dont understand what im saying THEN READ MANGA 388-401 IT TELLS EVERY THING ABOUT THE BOND BETWEEN SASUKE AND ITACHI AND THERE IS ALSO AN EPIC FIGHT THIS IS A SPOILER BUT ONE OF THEM DIES gonna add to this: sasuke gains mangekyo by killing itachi(you probably know that already so forget the spolier thing ^^^)Yea so in exchange for orochimaru's snake abilities, which i believe sasuke has lost due to the lack of orochimaru inside of him(lolz giggidy)he gains the mangekyo...by killing itachi not orochimaru
