They are much the same, both being dead, and both being reanimated.
A mummy is usually reanimated by magic, a zombie by some drug or radiation. One could then say - tongue in cheek - that mummies aren't real!
That said, they are both dead, and both moving about. It would seem that it would be an even match, except that the mummy might trip over it's wrappings!
