All genuine 1943 cents have value, the question is how much.
Ordinary steel cents - the ones that stick to a magnet - are worth anywhere from 25 cents to a dollar depending on mint mark and condition, assuming they're circulated.
"Reprocessed" steel cents are coins that have been cleaned and plated so they appear to be new. However these are considered to be altered coins and have little or no interest to collectors, and are only worth 1¢.
Copper-plated 1943 cents look like normal cents but they stick to a magnet. Again these are considered to be damaged coins.
Counterfeit 1943 cents are made from 1948 coins by altering the "8". However, real 1943 cents have a long tail on the 3, while altered coins have the same curvature on the top and bottom halves of the digit.
Genuine 1943 cents are quite rare and have to be authenticated by a certified professional. All of these coins are currently accounted for, but if you suspect you have a previously unknown one you'll need to go to a certified coin dealer for starters. However prepare to be told you do not have the real thing.
