I think it was a person called Nicholas Udall, I don't know if he is a comedian, but he created a comic called the Ralph roister Doister, it was the first comedy to be written in English literature.
The first comedian in English literature is thought to be Geoffrey Chaucer, known for his work "The Canterbury Tales," written in the late 14th century. Chaucer's tales contain humor, satire, and wit that provide insights into the society and culture of his time.
The only one we have any completed works by from Ancient Greece is Aristophanes :) Check out Lysistrata, The Birds, etc.
