There are five books. Confucius wrote five books which make up the Cannons of Confucianism and are accepted by all Chinese as part of their heritage. The books are: Chun Chiu (Spring and Autumn); Shu Ching (Book of History); Shih Ching (Book of Poetry); Li Chi (Book of Rites); and I Ching (Book of Changes).
