David wrote many of the Psalms. A man named Asaph also wrote many. Moses, Solomon and the sons of Korah (a worship leader) also wrote some. A few are unknown writers.

King David wrote the book of Psalms. Many of the Psalms are incorportated into the daily and sabbath prayers.
The tradition is that all of the unnamed Psalms were written by King David.
The book of Psalms in the Holy Bible has many Psalms written By King David. Some of the psalms were written by different people, though. The book of Psalms is in the Old testament - about the middle of the Bible.
A:Although many of the Psalms are traditionally attributed to King David, biblical scholars say that he did not really contribute to them. Most of the hymns are found in the Book of Psalms, which was compiled anonymously, so we do not know who wrote many of the hymns in the Old Testament.
