It should be the family doctor or pediatrician. However, other concerned family members should say something since allowing a child to become obese is a form of neglect. A concerned friend or neighbor should speak up. Pressure by outsiders may motivate the parents. The child's health can be ruined for the rest of their life. Obesity triggers many lifelong diseases such as heart disease, Diabetes and the premature wearing out of load bearing joints such as knees and hips.
