They don't want to give us homework but the school said so and they don't want to get fire,so they kinda care.
I usually spend 3-4 hours a night on homework. Sometimes when my teachers aren't feeling very nice, we get 10 hours. My mom has found me up at 4 A.M. before, doing homework. Hope this helps, CrazyGenie
For high school students who typically have five classes with different teachers, that could mean as much as 17.5 hours each week. By comparison, the survey found middle school teachers assign about 3.2 hours of homework each week and kindergarten through fifth grade teachers assign about 2.9 hours each week
six hours
You have to be in the classroom at 7:00 am and the homework and schoolwork is so hard you need to spend hours on your homework
No. Children spend most hours of their day at school, and afterwards have many hours of homework. If school days were to be longer, homework should be banished allowing children to be able to socialise
you spend about 5 hours with your family and then you go to school for about 8 hours
No studies have been done on this
If Lauren spend 2/3 of her 24-hour computer time doing homework, this means she spent 16 hours doing homework. Each third of the 24 hours is 8 hours, so two thirds would be 16 hours.
there is no homework over mid term because the teachers want u to spend that time studying, not doiong homework although in the olden days, they did have homework during mid-term week.
Hours and minutes would be a sensible measure of the amount of time you spend on homework each day.
Too much homeworkYou should be able to finish your homework in an hour or two every day. If it is taking you more than two hours every single day, then you should talk to your teachers and see about getting some help. Either you have too much homework, or you just don't understand the work. If you have a set time every day to do work, you will find that the work is easier - treat homework like a job and just get it over with. Add Your Opinion Here! What do you think is Too Much Homework?Well, in my opinion, there is too much homework. Kids spend 6 hours a day at school and then come home only to spend another few hours on homework. However, it is vital to succeed in school and learn the things that are taught so there are times when homework is necessary to do so, but, a lot of homework shouldn't be necassary often if the teachers use the class period to teach what they are supposed to."Kids spend 6 hours a day at school" - true, and your parents work 8 to 12 hours a day at their job. Spending an extra hour or two on homework is the same as staying at school those extra hours, so you're still "working" the same amount of time as your parents do. If you have to work longer than your parents do, then you have too much homework.I think that people do have too much homework because I have met a lot of people that get stressed from homework. For example: I have met someone that had anger problems from stress and homework. Too much stress is unhealthy for kids and teens.More than 1 hour for elementaryMore than 3 hours for Jr. High School/Middle schoolMore than 5 hours for High School*I'd say more than 3 assignments for elementary kids, more than 5 assignments for Middle schoolers, and more than 6 for high schoolers. I am in private middle school, and I know that each grade gets more homework thean the previous. I will not say what grade I'm in, but I will tell you this; I spend about an hour a night on each subject, and I have spanish, history, English, math, science, and technology homework almost every night.I think that some teachers give out too much homework. For example today i have been working 8 hours straight just to get all my homework done. I have not had a chance this weekend to stop for more than half an hour and i am very stressed. I almost started to cry with the stress. I haven't slept and am very tired. I think that if you are doing more than an hour or two each night then you are doing too much and if you do more than 6 or 7 hours over the whole weekend that is too much. This is just my opinion. It depends greatly on your age. But 30- 60 minutes is reasonable to start. As you grow older it will get more complex so you will need to spend more time doing it. When you get to university you will be doing more 'homework' than classwork.I think homework should take 10 minutes every grade. For example a sixth grader should have 60 minutes of homework, a third grader 30 minutes, etc. But schools are giving too much homework which can cause stress, and stress is bad. So the time you should do your homework is multiplied by 2, since teachers are giving so much homework. Instead of 6th graders having 60 minutes, they get 2 hours (or more) and third graders have 1 hour (or more), etc. This is merely a matter of opinion. Most students would agree with this, whereas some teachers and principals would not.It also depends on the teachers and subjects the young person has chosen, for example a stricter teacher in a highly essay-based subject such as literature would have more homework than a student who had made choices for more practical subjects such as textiles or graphic design.
