Your brother is having seizures due to the flashing lights. There is an electrical problem which causes shaking foaming at the mouth, gritting teeth, moving head and extremities and vocal noises. Protect his head and time the length and attributes of the seizure being careful not to put any objects in the mouth or restrain movement. After the seizure is done lay him the side recovery position to allow secretions to drain from mouth and in case of vomit. Clean him up and put him in bed as postictal he will be sleepy. Document each seizure and it's characteristics so that the doctor is made aware of the frequency and duration and movement type of the seizure as well as time per seizure. Do not put foreign objects in mouth or deter movement..protect head and call 911 for emergency services to take them to the hospital for observation and evaluation of medication to find the right med to reduce frequency of seizures and events surrounding the seizure. Doctor will determine if. More meds diet changes, activity modification, nap changes counseling, special accommodations are needed to adapt independent so that he would need to function daily.
