You need do diconnect the front differential, and then cut the red wire. After that try again. If it still doesnt work, take it to the dealer for a checkup. This is happening because in cars from Japan, they use a different lockng mechanism. At you last checkup, your mechanic probably used the technipue for testing doors used for American-made cars.
