Why are alligators the most dangerous animals in the world?
It is very doubtful if alligators really are that dangerous; they are not even in the top-20. Since 2001, less than 20 people got killed in the USA by alligators, and that usually by foolishly swimming in waters where alligators lived. Worldwide AND including all species of crocodiles, the count goes up to around 25-30,000 since 2001. Compare that to kills by hippos: hippos killed around 45,000 people since 2001. But it is mosquitos (carrying malaria among other diseases) that are - with around 15 million kills since 2001 - the most lethal to humans.
