Dear Tooting your own Horn,
I have a 2005 Malibu and my horn went out... but before it did... it would get stuck, and blow so i would bang on the steering wheel till it shut off... finally went out... Chev. uses a spiral spring as a contact to sound the horn... located by the airbag middle of steering wheel... the spring gets stuck in on position... and shorts out the circuit... horns take a lot of power and this is a bad design... so it is stuck... when you put a new fuse the spring is still stuck causing a short therefore blowing the fuse again... I'm in theprocess of installing an after market horn from an auto parts place... 3 to 4 hundred for the dealer to repair... 20 buck for the kit... only thing i havent got it to work yet... unless you have experience don't try it... mine is under the airbag... you have to disconnect the battery before you mess with anything electrical... don't chance it an airbag can take you out quick.
