That was all part of God's plan.

Jesus came as the lamb of God = a sacrifice for sin.

John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "There is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

It was God's plan for Jesus to die and God's plan for Judas to betray Him. We don't know for sure but it seems that Judas may have repented of his sin, in that case God would forgive him.

Mat 27:3 When Judas, the traitor, learned that Jesus had been condemned, he repented and took back the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.

Mat 27:4 "I have sinned by betraying an innocent man to death!" he said. "What do we care about that?" they answered. "That is your business!"

Mat 27:5 Judas threw the coins down in the Temple and left; then he went off and hanged himself.
