When Jesus said "Woman, behold your son," he was referring to the disciple John, asking Mary to view him as her own son to care for her in his absence. It symbolized his concern for their well-being and to ensure they were taken care of.
Politely explain to your mother that you did not intend to hurt your brother. She may understand. If not, get over it: Parents are in charge.

In the gospel according to John, chapter 19, his mother came to see him on the cross. He asks John to care for his mother in his absence. John 19:25 (English Standard Version) but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son!" 27 Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

It wasn't so much her impatience, but he wrote about Jesus giving her a reminder that his commands do not come from her. The gentle rebuke came when Mary was being presumptuous about Jesus doing something about the wine situation at a marriage feast. Mary, being a very humble person, took the council from Jesus and told the servers to do whatever Jesus said to do. The account in John 2:3-5: "When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him: "They have no wine." But Jesus said to her: "Woman, why is that of concern to me and to you? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to those serving: "Do whatever he tells you."
