Knuckles is the guardian of the Chaos Emeralds. He was mislead by Dr. Robotnik into believing that Sonic had stolen the Chaos Emeralds.
Knuckles is tricked by Dr. Robotnick into thinking that Sonic stole The Master Emerald, knuckles being the emerald's guardian steals sonic's Chaos Emeralds in return.
Hyper Sonic and Super Tails are only availbale in Sonic 3 and Knuckles if you gather all chaos emeralds the super emeralds. Though if u have only the chaos emeralds and you jump with 50 rings as Tails he will become invincible.
You need to collect all Seven Chaos Emeralds. In Knuckles story it take you a little longer because your not the same route as Sonic & Tails. In order to get all seven Emeralds you need to go through Giant Rings and do a Special Stage for each one of them. Once you finished a special stage you will receive a Chaos Emerald if you lose you can try again but the same Ring won't reappear in the same spot so you need to look all over the area to find more.
if you mean in the animated series, then yes. During the show (on kids4tv) sonic would have some things to take care of, but every once in a while there was an episode where sonic had to get/lose an emerald.
Chaos EmeraldsThe Chaos Emeralds as they appear inSonic RThe Chaos Emeralds are, in most games, seven emeralds with mystical powers; they are a recurring feature of Sonicgames. The emeralds can turn thoughts into power,[62] warp time and space with a technique called Chaos Control,[63][64] give energy to all living things and be used to create nuclear or laser based weaponry.[65]They are the basis of many of the games' plots, and the player is frequently required to collect them all to fully defeat Doctor Eggman and achieve the games' "good endings", super forms, or both. The methods used to acquire the Emeralds and the end-results after collecting them differ between titles in the series. Most early games require the player to find the emeralds in Special Stages,[61] while some modern games implement the emeralds as a plot element. In certain games, such as Sonic R and the 8-bit versions of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the player is required to find the Chaos Emeralds within the zones themselves. The Master Emerald was introduced in Sonic & Knucklesas a plot element. It resides in a shrine on Angel Island and is guarded byKnuckles the Echidna, as only those of the Echidna Tribe are able to control it.[66] The power of the Master Emerald is what keeps Angel Island afloat in the sky.[67] It can control the power of the Chaos Emeralds,[62] including neutralizing or amplifying their energies.[68]Special StagesUsually, Special Stages were employed as a means of earning Chaos Emeralds.[61] Special Stages usually take place in surrealenvironments and feature alternate gameplay mechanics to the standard platforming of the main levels. The 16-bit Sonic the Hedgehogconsisted of a giant rotating maze, which many considered a major technical achievement.[69] The most common special stages, however, were segments with the character running through a long tunnel to collect certain items. 3D "collect item" levels, as in Sonic 3and Sonic & Knuckles, used the same perspective but had Sonic collecting all the blue-colored orbs on the surface of a giant sphere. Finally, Sonic Advance 2 employed a 3D ring-collecting stage, and Sonic Chaos(Sonic and Tails in Japan) used a variety of gimmicks for its levels. Since Emeralds of the 8-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog were hidden in the main stages, the game's spring-filled Special Stages were merely used as a means of adding variety, increasing score and earning continues. Similarly, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, in addition to the main Special Stages, featured entirely optional bonus stages, one of which combined the rotating maze of Sonic the Hedgehog with the pinball gambling of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Sonic Heroes contained an alternate Special Stage for a chance of earning additional lives.
Knuckles is an Echidna (similar to a hedgehog in appearance). His sworn duty is to protect a rare object called the Master Emerald. He often helps Sonic the Hedgehog in his adventures and in saving the universe from Dr Eggman and the Medarex. Rouge is a bat who is a jewel thief and treasure hunter who absolutely loves Jewellery which is why she tries to steal the Chaos Emeralds and most jewellery shops during her stay on Earth. She has a secret crush on Knuckles and attempts to infactuate him so she can take the Master Emerald.
You have to collect all the Chao in each zone (there are 10 hidden in the 3 acts in each zone, plus one on the zone map. You can find how many are in where by going into the Sonic Factory and going into the Chao Garden and pressing select). Then, you need to go into act one of that zone and collect the special key. Then, find the special spring somewhere on the map, and that will take you to the special stage. If completed, you get a Chaos Emerald. There are Seven in all. Once all Chaos Emeralds are found, Complete Final Zone with Sonic as the Leader and you will be taken to the Extra Zone with Super Sonic.
You have to find Giant Rings, enter them, and beat the stage on the other side. This is for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. For Sonic Advance 3, you need a key to unlock the Special Stage in the Entrance Stage.
Well, I think Sonic would Spindash into Shadow, but Shadow would use Chaos Control and dodge. I really, really, REALLY love Sonic! But I think more people think Shadow would beat Sonic more. In my opinion though, Sonic would probably win because of his Super Form, which Shadow doesn't stand a chance against. But Shadow has a Superform too, so it could get even... Not to mention Sonic can use Chaos Control and Chaos Blast and all that kind of stuff in his Super Form. Sonic even has a Dark Form, but I'm not sure Shadow has a real one. But Sonic has many other forms, like Hyper Sonic, Werehog Sonic, Darkspine Sonic, even though Shadow does have a Hyper form, but I don't think he has enough to even Sonic's forms, ready to take him down. So, in their normal forms most people think Shadow would win, but when Sonic's in his Super Form he would win. When both in their Super Form, they would probably be even, but when Sonic uses his other forms, he would win since Shadow doesn't really have enough. But he might discover some new ones, they might both, who knows... But I think Sonic would win anyway. Shadow fans can have their opinion, just don't overload it alright? im a game nerd im a game nerd im a game nerd ima game nerd and i really really REALLY think im a game nerd
Yes, Nazo was created by negative chaos energy and he also wants to use the negaive energy from the emeralds to take over the world.

Dr. Robotnik tricked Knuckles into believing that Sonic was coming to Angel island to steal his Master Emerald, when it was really the doctor that planned to take it.
