Now looking at the above facts, it can be stated that Las Vegas, which is a major tourism destination in the US and that includes the number of tourist that are visiting Las Vegas for only gambling, has the highest number of hotel rooms than any other city. As of 2008 Las Vegas had a total of 140,529 rooms. And with about 40 million tourists visiting the place every year, the city is bound to have high hotel occupancy. Not to mention the number of franchise hotels, and the city's tourism marketing strategy and the whole significance of Las Vegas being a Sin city and the Entertainment Capital of the world, are the major reason behind the tourism influx.
