Nasa
Voyager 1 was sent to the edge of the solar system by NASA to study what was happening and to take pictures. It was launched in 1977 and is still sending back data.
NASA specializes in solar research. This space centers has satellites all over space to keep track of what is going on in space. They take pictures and they build many other rockets and telescopes to research more about the earth and solar system.
You can see the whole solar system and its moons on NASA's Solar System Exploration website (solarsystem.nasa.gov). It provides detailed information on each planet, its moons, and various missions exploring our solar system.
to find life beyond our solar system and to improve everyday life!
NASA provides many images from space of planets in our Solar System and beyond. Many images are available free from various web sites such as the NASA Image Gallery. Google Maps & Google Earth provide high-resolution satellite images of earth from space.
Check the official NASA website. It should have a lot of information about it, like pictures, statistics, random facts, moons, satellites. etc. It's also very accurate.
NASA is constantly searching for new planets beyond our solar system through various missions like the TESS and Kepler telescopes. They have discovered thousands of exoplanets so far, but have not announced the discovery of a new planet in our solar system.
I don't think Nasa's understanding of the Solar System would, in principle, be much different from the understanding of the Solar System you can get from good astronomy books, or television programs. Except that people who work there would probably be informed about some more details - and know more about the math and physics - than you would normally find on popular television programs.
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. ---- According to NASA there are 9 planets in the Solar System, and the above are they.
Research has made this possible when NASA sent a rocket out and made it out of the Milky Way (our solar system).
NASA can predict the speeds of the two Voyager craft very accurately. The main problem is defining where the "end" of the solar system is.
