I'm South Korean :). Just to let you know, im not going to state my opinions about North Korea. First, South Korea wasn't invaded by North Korea. It was just one Korea and they weren't divided yet. Before splitting, the Koreans were controlled by the Japanese. After winning the war with the Japanese, the Koreans had another problem. The problem was that Koreans had different belief. The different belief caused them the separate along with the leaders. The South Koreans were Christian and North Koreans were Buddhist. The different belief among the Koreans just got them separated.
In 2002, South Korea co-hosted the FIFA World Cup with Japan. South Korea has never won the FIFA World Cup Trophy as of 2010.
