Check the spark plug wires and the distributor cap.
Check to make sure the wires are all tight and you have them in the correct firing sequence. Also make sure you put the correct plugs in.

Could be broken timing belt. Do the spark plugs have spark?

Disconnect the battery, remove the cover, remove the cables and boots, and remove the spark plugs. Put in the new spark plugs, replace the cables and boots, replace the cover and connect the battery.
Pull the spark plug wires off the spark plugs. Remove the spark plugs with a spark plug socket. Install the new spark plugs and put the spark plug wires back on. I recomend replacing the spark plug wires as well. If replacing them, just remember that the new wires are hooked up the same ways that the old ones came off.
Check the 92 Eclipse for vacuum leaks. Check to see that all of the spark plugs are firing properly. Check to see that the fuel injectors are working. Either of these could cause the rough start and rough running.

firing order is 18436572... looking from fan, first post on distributor will be closest to you to right. that will go to cylinder 1. post to right is 8, then 4, and so on.
