USB does not appear as disk 1 in diskpart because that designation is usually reserved for permanent drives. USB is used to connect the removable drives to the computer.
If you have customized the USB into a mac it may show up in My Computer as a floppy disk or drive, I don't know how to change it back though, if this is the case, your USB should work fine on macs. Hope this helps :B
