Yes it can , water refracts light , even though the light isn't as straight as it should be it refracts it. If you need proof , get a glass of water and place a pen into it and you will see as if the pen is broken. -Mikhail out That is actually why you have the rainbow:) Ange de la mort
Both the pen and the ink are usually not water soluble
Because the quill pen always left marks on the paper. He found it also incredibly inconvenient to always have to dip the pen after it ran out of ink so quickly. So Lazslo Biro invented a pen that held much more ink and wrote more fluently and smoother.
Water
The pen weighs less than its equivalent volume of water weighs.Putting the pen underwater shoves an amount of water out of the way equal to the amount of space the pen takes up. This is called displacement. For the pen, the displaced water weighs more than the pen, so it can force the pen up and out of the water instead of the pen forcing more water out of the way and sinking to the bottom.Eventually, when most of the pen is out of the water, the small volume of the pen that is still beneath the surface displaces an amount of water whose weight equals the total weight of the pen. It then floats at this equilibrium depth, with the pen being pulled down with a force equal to the displaced water's weight pushing up.
probably a feather pen dip it in ink then write

The supplies you need to do calligraphy are either a dip pen or calligraphy fountain pen. If you are using a dip pen you will also need bottled ink, in both cases you will need parchment or calligraphy paper.
it made it faster to right then having to dip a pen or feather into an ink well
A simple answer is that a ballpoint pen could be carried on your person, so freeing you from having to carry a bottle of ink and a steel-nibbed dip pen.
In my primary schoodays we used dip pens. We had a pen with a nib fixed at the end, and we had to dip the nib into an inkwell after writing a few words ... From time to time the nib wore out and had to be replaced. Fountain pens also have nibs.
No, "end" and "pen" do not rhyme. "End" rhymes with words like "bend" and "blend," whereas "pen" rhymes with words like "den" and "men."
