Companies display the time as 10:10 as to not block out the company's name and logo which is 90% of the time placed right under the 12 above the centre of the watch.

Yes. If you remove the radio, the clock will simply show the current time and date. Beware, though, when I changed my radio, the clock's software went crazy and it stopped updating the clock. That means that when I turned the car on, it would show me the correct time, but then it wouldn't advance until I turned the car off and on again. This was fixed by unplugging the battery thereby resetting the clock's software.
If a clock stopped for a day, time would appear to stand still in the immediate area where the clock is located. However, the rest of the world would continue to operate normally, and time would progress as usual for everyone else.

Time cannot be stopped, other than taking out the batteries of your watch or clock.
