Ewell feels as if those involved now see him as a liar. This makes him angry with Atticus who he places his soul blame on. He bares a grudge against them for believing the "black lover" over him. His racism coulds his judgement and makes him feel as if a black SHOULD be a scapegoat and when he is unable to use him as one and everyone things of him as a liar he holds a grudge.
