Frequently this is caused by a faulty crank angle sensor. As the engine heats up the sensor goes open circuit and there is no pulse to trigger the spark or the injectors. When it cools enough the circuit reforms and the engine will run for a while.
Replace the crank angle sensor and the problem should go away.
Loss of acceleration usually means the engine isn’t getting what it needs common causes are clogged fuel filter, weak fuel pump, dirty air filter, faulty sensors, or transmission issues. Sometimes even something small like bad spark plugs can make a big difference. I faced a similar issue and went to Bergman’s Auto Repair they didn’t just guess, they diagnosed it properly and found the exact issue quickly. Definitely something to get checked early, because ignoring it can lead to bigger (and more expensive) problems.
It means your car is slow from the beginning
1994 Chevy suburban....no coolant leaks...but looses coolant is this an older car? does the car loose engine coolant?
a brealout is when the car looses traction and starts to swerve
Usually it means the engine isn’t getting the right fuel–air mix or spark. Common causes: Weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter Dirty MAF sensor or throttle body Failing ignition coils/spark plugs Clogged catalytic converter (exhaust restriction) Start with fuel system and air sensors they’re the most common.
I'm not in expert, but it could be ( in winter time) that the car engine is still cold. But if its warm temperature outside, it could have something to do with the gas filter. Its probably blocking from the gas to get to where its supposed to go. It also could be your spark plugs, or wires from the spark plugs. You could check the spark plugs yourself. If the end of the spark plug is dark, like almost black, you need new spark plugs. If you look at the wire from the spark and its worn out, then replace them.
The purpose of a car is to get you from point A to point B. The entire time you own a car it looses money. Why would you not want a less expensive car?
No
what kind of car?
I highly suspect the plug wires are bad or moisture has gotten in them. At higher speeds and throttle openings, the spark has a harder time jumping the spark plug gaps. If the wires (or path) from the coil to the spark plug gets restricted or shorted by water, the spark cannot reach the spark plug and the engine looses power and runs rough.
blown head gasket!
yes.
