All the ash in the air up there is too thick right now. When volcanic ash gets into a jet turbine, it can really chew it up and destroy the engine, which is very bad for those on board. On other aircraft, it can clog the air intake and cause the engine to cut out in midair. The money just isn't worth the risk of people losing their lives.
Planes dive to get airflow over the wings where the air is thicker. The thicker the air the better the airflow. Planes also dive in stall. Stall is where the plane can no longer fly areodynamicly. Hope this helped.
No... planes stay airborne because the air flowing on the underside of the wing is moving faster than the air flowing over the top of the wing. Without air movements - the plane cannot fly.

from boats to ships to air planes.
The lift required to get the plane off the ground is created by the flow of the air over the planes wings.
The jet fighter planes that fly over western New York including Buffalo and Lake Erie come from the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base. This is part of the Air Force. These planes fly practice missions over western NY.
The air that travels over the wing is travelling at a higher velocity and is at a lower pressure than the air travelling under the wing.
Some planes do like a harier it could stop in the air
Advantages of Air Planes- They can get you to places all over the world. They can get you to places in the same country quicker than by getting there by car. They are safer than cars or trains or most other transport open to public. They help you travel for business. Service on planes are usually very good. Disadvantages of Air Planes- They are quite expensive to fly on. They are bad for the environment.
Air planes were starting to take over from the traditional migrant ships.
They mostly did a lot of air recon to spot enemy troop movements. There was also some air to air combat. The numbers of how many planes in each arsnal is unclear but what i know is that there were over 130 planes in the British side 85 in its arsenal were combat fighter planes and the rest did either recon or propaganda. :)
It depends if you mean private planes or commercial or passenger planes. For passenger planes I think Air Canada would probably buy planes though I am not sure and I am sure there would be others.
