Q 1 Why do all living organisms need food?
A 1 All living organisms need food for good health ,for energy and etc
thank you
From Emmanuel .Remy. DenisAll living organisms need nutrition to produce the energy required to run all the systems within the organism.
There are 4 main ways of absorbing nutrition..
a) Heterotophic - eating and digesting.
b) Autotrophic - making own food ie photosynthesis.
c) Saprophytic - use of dead decaying matter.
d) Parasitic - depends on a host ie tape worm.

Yes, all organisms are part of a food chain. My son just had this question on his science test.
The reason why is that all organisms need nutritions to develope and grow. For example, offspring need all the nutritions they can get in order to survive in harsh enviroments, etc.

Yes, all organisms are part of a food chain. My son just had this question on his science test.
Food was never invented. All organisms need a source of energy; the process starts with autrotrophic organisms which are able to produce food through photosynthesis. This is eaten by herbivores (and omnivores, which are in turn eaten by carnivores. The further up the food chain you go, the more food you need to survive.
All organisms that can not produce their own food, are called heterotrophs.
