98.6 degrees is normal body temp, now for a seizure to occur that can be just a couple of degrees higher than normal. It really depends on the persons physical shape and level of health some folks trigger into seizures sooner than others but there are so many variables that come into play.

∙ 14y agoIf a fever persists or become real high it can cause brain damage. When the brain gets injured, this messes up the electrical signals and they start misfiring. The misfiring is what is known as a seizure.
