No there are only 27 State names on the back of a 5 dollar bill..... I think
26
The reason is because the image on the back is of the Lincoln Memorial, which itself displays the name of the 36 states which were states at the time Lincoln was President. Given that only the front of the building is visible, only the 26 states listed on the front can be seen.
No US bill lists all 50 states. You may be thinking of the image of the Lincoln Memorial that's been on on the back of the $5 bill since 1928. The Lincoln Memorial itself has the names of all 48 states that were in the Union at the time the monument was built. Because the bill can only show one face of the building only 26 names are visible.
There are roughly 29 cities and towns named Clinton. The towns or cities named Clinton are located in 26 different states, some states have more than one town named Clinton including New York, and Michigan.
26 state names
Massachusetts is a country like America, so there are actually 26 states and they are each named after a letter of the alphabet. Bolding, Lipdig etc.
The back of a $5 bill shows either 26 or 27 states across the top of the Lincoln Memorial, depending on what age it has and what image was used. Because the state names run all the way around the top of the Memorial, it's clearly impossible to show all of them in a single 2-dimensional image. (Unless and until a Harry Potter-style bill is printed where the images can move, LOL!)

2 from each state, which was at the time 13 states and so 26 senators. Now the total is 100 for the 50 states.
According to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing there are only 26.If you think about it for a minute, the names of the states are engraved all the way around the top of the Lincoln Memorial. The back of a bill is a flat picture so it can only show one side of the building. The only way you could see all the way around it would be if the Treasury borrowed some of those moving paintings from Harry Potter's world!
The back of a $5 bill has a picture of the Lincoln Memorial which has the names of all 48 states that existed at the time it was built, so of course the image on the $5 bill will show that as well. Of those, either 26 or 27 states are shown, depending on what age it has and what image was used.
