Because cars are driven on the left side of the road in Britain.
I would have thought that this was an easy question for a person who has driven a British car. The driver sits on the right hand side. All I want to know is what order are the pedals in the British cars. Are they opposite to American made vehicles?
Steering wheel placement aims to put the driver closer to the middle of the road. Some countries decided differently WRT which side of the road to drive on. Cars made to be used in right-side-traffic have the steering wheels to the left, while cars made to be used in left side traffic have the steering wheel to the right.

You just need the right materials
you have to realize that in general the bodies and engines/propulsion systems are made to be as standard as possible. for right hand drive cars, they are on the driver side. it's too expensive to switch the gas tank depending on which side the steering is going to be on.
BMW is not a country, some dickheads can't read. The Mini Coopers are all British made. Ergo British.
In Italy, people drive on the right side of the road. So cars made to be used in Italy - or any other right-side-traffic country - have the steering wheel on the LEFT side, to put the driver closer to the middle of the road. The only regular exception are cars imported from left-side markets and some delivery vans etc.

Germany holds 35% of car manufacturing across the world. If we are referring to on cars which are of 5to 8 seaters including driver seat, according to 2011 graph nearly 60-70 crore cars are manufactured out of 35% is German made. so I should say Germans make at least 15-20 crore cars per year.
They are manufactured in England. They are a british sports car that was made from 1959 to 1967. They are high class cars.
Mostly European made cars, right hand drive. As far as commercial vehicles go, however, US-made left hand drive trucks are more commonplace.
