its because of a man called Michael Atkinson. every state in Australia said yes to have R18 games but SA said no (Michael represents them)
It's not so much that we ban R18 games, it's just that we currently don't have an R18 classification.
Australia indeed has video games.
Though I do not believe violent video games promote real life violence, many experts believe they do. For example, in Australia violent video games are banned, and a heavy fine is placed on those found with them.
I don't think any particular video games are "banned" by the Roman Catholic Church however, the Church being a Christian organization would rather one avoided any games which included violence or anything which degraded oneself or anyone else.
No, violent video games teach kids about life and how it is and how it will be in the modern age...
not all of them=yes some will but not all=
:-o NO!
Only for people that are under 18
Alot
This is a list of video games that had been censored or banned. Governments have been criticized for banning games for many reasons, in that such bans violate rights, increase piracy, inhibit business opportunities, and that users can still order/download such games online. hope that helps you :)
no, the present classifications are g,pg,m,ma and some games which are too violent are banned. but there might be a chance that we can stop the ban if this is not enough information for you check out these websites http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attorney-General_of_Australia http://www.inmycommunity.com.au/news-and-views/local-news/R-rated-games-call/7551276/ http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/asia/100111/video-games-ban-Australia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_video_games#Australia
