If a cell becomes too large, then not enough nutrition can get in fast enough and not enough waste can get out fast enough. In larger organisms, there are just way more cells than in smaller organisms; the cells do not get bigger.

not all cells are the same this questions is tough because it is not specific what so ever!

but if we are talking about human or animal somatic cells or better known as body cells they would be the same size maybe because of mitosis! Mitosis is cell division but when the cells divide they also replicate! so you have 1 cell it divides and makes 2 of the same cell. sorry if that was vague and...not informative!

There are trillions of cells in the body so, they have to be extremely small to fit.
