For a start, not all animals are poisonous. If fact, the vast majority are not. But the main reason some animals are poisonous is for protection.

∙ 12y agoAlmost all of the time, it is a survival mechanism. Just like how there are camouflaged bugs and insects, there are animals like the Poison Dart Frog, and lizards that spit poison, too.
