Only bugs and Spiders have exoskeleton. Imagine being as small as a ant. You can't fit many bones in your body then. So bugs and spiders have exoskeletons. Also, because they need a lot more room for all of the air ways in their bodies.

In fact, it is directly opposite. The organisms with the exoskeletons tend to be smaller than those without. For example, a cow is an animal without an exoskeleton, yet it is larger than any exoskeleton based organisms.

It is harder for animals with an exoskeleton to regulate their temperature which is why they are smaller than animals with an endoskeleton (these animals can regulate their temperature better.

This is why there will never be giant ants like we see in sci fi movies

The square cube law is a mathematical principle that describes how the volume and area of an object change as the object increases in size. It basically says that an objects volume grows faster than its area. This means that an exoskeleton can only grow so much before the resulting mass outgrows the exoskeleton's ability to support it.

An exoskeleton is a hard covering that supports and protects the bodies of some types of animals. The word exoskeleton means "outside skeleton." Many invertebrates, or animals without backbones, have exoskeletons. Insects are the largest group of animals that have an exoskeleton.

Organisms with exoskeletons tend to be smaller than those without. For example, a cow is an animal without an exoskeleton, yet it is larger than any exoskeleton based organisms.

Creatures that have exoskeletons grow but their exoskeleton does not so they have to shed their exoskeleton once they become too large for it.

All animals don't have an exoskeleton because only invertebrates have them. Vertebrates have endoskeletons.
