Not all bacterial diseases are treated by multiplee antibiotic drugs. those diseases as suspected by clinician caused by multiple bacteria or resistant bacteria are delt this way.

using multiple drugs is like using different techniques in war. these drugs attack in different places in different manner. thus reducing dose of individual drugs, attack multiple bacteria.(btw diff bacteria needs diff drugs)

Different antibiotics kill different kinds of bacteria. Sometimes you need to take more than one kind at a time. Combination works if: you're trying to combat drug resistant strains of a pathogen, or if it's an emergency and the doc doesn't know what's wrong specifically, or because of antibiotic synergism (which is when combining them treats the disease more efficiently than just administering them separately).

The reason is because each antibiotic has a different way of killing of the bacteria. And each bacteria is different eg. Shape, size, mass etc.

There are different antibiotics for different infections because some antibiotics don't fight other infections.

It is not very scientific but hey,

Hope this helped

Are all bacterial infections treated the same way?

No. There are different types of bacteria that respond to antibiotics differently. Thankfully, the type of bacteria that are most often responsible for respiratory infections are quite different than the type of bacteria that usually cause urinary tract infections. That's just one example. As a result, the antibiotic that is prescribed for strep throat is different than the antibiotic prescribed for urinary tract infections.

What does the drug penicillin do?

Penicillin is an antibiotic. Penicillin is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as ear infections prescribed by doctors for bacterial infections in woundsDestroys the cell walls of the bacteria allowing the bacteria's cytoplasm to exit the cell as well as allowing water and ions to enter, causing apoptosis of the bacteria.

Can azithromycin cure yeast infections?

No, in fact, some antibiotics can potentially cause a yeast infection. Yeast infections are caused by yeast and not bacteria. Azithromycin is an antibiotic that acts on bacteria. BV or bacterial vaginosis is like a yeast infection, and it is treated with an antibiotic, but a different one.

What are the two different types of infections?

What antibiotic is used to treat the flu?

You would not be given any antibiotic for use to treat a cold or flu. They are both viral infections, not bacterial infections. Antibiotics are only for bacterial infections. If you have a secondary bacterial infection with a viral infection, you might be prescribed an antibiotic to treat that secondary infection, but not for the virus itself.

How is the flu different from bacterial infections?

It is caused by viruses not by bacteria.

Why are antibiotics used?

The proper usage of antibiotics is to stop acute bacterial infections. But they have also been use as a growth promoter in cattle and to prevent bacterial infection. Both of these uses accelerate bacterial evolution of antibiotic resistance. Sometime doctors have prescribed antibiotics to their patients with viral infections (which the antibiotics have no effect on) either because the patients insisted on taking antibiotics or to prevent a secondary bacterial infection from developing as a complication. Both of these uses accelerate bacterial evolution of antibiotic resistance. When prescribed an antibiotic it is essential that you take all the medication exactly as prescribed until you use it all up. Not doing so will frequently leave the last and most antibiotic resistant bacteria in your body and the infection might flare up again and that antibiotic would now be ineffective and a different stronger antibiotic that might have bad side effects might now be required! Due to improper usage of antibiotics there are now a few bacteria that are completely resistant to every antibiotic currently on the market, except for one: Vancomycin. Continued misuse could also rapidly produce Vancomycin resistant bacteria too meaning that eventually many bacterial infections would be as untreatable and often fatal as they were prior to 1942, when Penicillin was first introduced on the market.

What is the Z Pak antiobiotic used for?

Can you use tetracycline for human on goat?

No, you should not give human medications to animals. While tetracycline is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections in both humans and goats, the formulations are very different and the dosages are very different. If you suspect your goat has a bacterial infection, you should have a vet come out and examine it. Tetracycline is not very expensive anymore as it is a generic antibiotic, so the largest expense will be to pay for the farm call.

Colloidal silver is 650 times more potent than penecillin is this true?

No, this statement is not true. Colloidal silver is not considered more potent than penicillin. Penicillin is an antibiotic medication that is commonly used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, whereas colloidal silver is not typically used for bacterial infections and its efficacy and safety are debated in the medical community.
