Dolphin is classified as mammal as it possess all mammalian characters i.e. hair , mammary glands for feeding young ones , 7 cervical vertebrae and so on .
dolphins r mammals bcoz they need air to breathe and are warm and have proper flesh on the inside

Whales and Dolphins do all these things and are therefore mammals. They are land animals that have adapted to a life in water.
