Because when we dream we usually dream about current things or things in the past which have happened to us, so when you dream you see things from a different perspective, and that is why they seem real.
Your brain remembers whatever you did sometime, and the stuff it cannot remember, it uses your imagination to fill in the blank spots, in other words, you brain is just catogorizing your memory.
Dreams feel so real because they take place inside one's mind. When awake, one relies on the senses - sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste - to transmit information along nerve fibers to the brain, where that information is interpreted by the mind. But in dreams, the mind itself creates the experience, so it might be described as a "direct" experience within the mind itself.
it simply means that maybe life seems boring and life is dull to you in wich you would have dreams about things being brighter and more entertaining in life. to solve this you should make a new routine to start your day off better.
Dreams are simply a result of the subconscious entertaining itself by (haphazardly, yet creatively) compiling trivial thoughts, feelings, emotions and events from daily life into vivid dreams... and/or nightmares.
Most make no sense at all. Yet insight may come from objects/events the dream contains. It depends on whether or not you believe in the importance of such dreams.
Dreams feel so real because the mind experiences them in much the same way that the mind experiences reality: signals from the senses stimulate specific areas of the brain which are then interpreted as meaningful by the mind. The difference is that dreams are MORE direct than external stimulation, because the physical senses are bypassed in dreams. One could say that the mind is stimulating itself in dreams; more accurately, one part of the mind (the unconscious) is stimulating the sensing portions of the brain which in turn stimulate the sleeping mind. For a more technical explanation, see the Wikipedia article on "Dream" linked below.
Sometimes dreams are so vivid they can seem real, so when you wake-up you can feel it. Unless it's a bedbug then it is really real...
