It is strange that people would even consider the fact that Fungi and Plants are in the same kingdom. For instance: Plants are photosynthesizers; they make their food off of the sunlight provided by the sun. Fungi are decomposers; they feed off of decaying plant and animal life they find. A plant's cell structure is also almost completely different than a fungus's. In addition, Plants start life in seed form, Fungi do not. When you add up all of the facts, the only characteristic of these two Eukaryotes that even suggests that they share the same kingdom is that they are both stationary. Nothing else.
