Goldfish do not have stomachs which means they never feel full, this is why they constantly beg for food- they are always hungry.

they are not always hungry you just need to feed them two times a day and if you see that it is eating it fast then give it a little more.

Where are goldfish or fighting fish on the food chain of the ocean?

Goldfish and bettas (fighting fish) are freshwater fish, so they are not part of the ocean's food chain at all. In a freshwater environment, they are relatively low on the food chain.

Why do goldfish do white excrete waste?

There will be a problem either with the water or the diet. My advice is to do a few large water changes taking all the proper precautions and equalising all parameters. Then I would improve the fishes diet by adding a feed of earthworms at least once a week.

How dark does a room have to be for goldfish to turn white?

Very dark, all the time, but truthfully it isn't healthy for the goldfish to be subjected to such conditions and it is just plain cruel to force a goldfish to stay in a dark room all the time.

What kind of bread crumbs are best for goldfish?

Bread crumbs are not good for goldfish and too much will eventually kill them. A fortune has been spent by researchers and pet food manufacturers in doing research into goldfish diets and developing good wholesome nourishment for all sorts/species of fish. Why not make use of all that knowledge and buy proper goldfish food?

Will crayfish o rcrawdad eat goldfish food?

Can the calestail goldfish and the comet goldfish live together?

Probably, but usually the comet goldfish will get all the food and/or the other goldfish will become miserable. This has happened to me before and I do not recommend putting them in the same tanks. Try putting the fancy and comet godlfish seperate!

What does a goldfish eat but that is not fish food?

Goldfish are omnivores, and they can eat lots of vegetables (but don't try feeding them any fruits...I never tried....but wouldn't it be weird to feed goldfish a mango or a peach?). Fish food is all protein, usually, and eating only fish food usually helps constipation happen to your poor goldfish. Imagine humans eating only meat! So I always feed my goldfish pieces of lettuce and the insides of cooked frozen peas. They make my fish healthier. Though I have never tried, some goldfish owners feed their goldfish live food, like those tiny shrimps. It is healthier for your goldfish to eat a wide variety of good, not only fish food.

How often should you feed your fan tail goldfish?

You should feed your fish only as much as it can eat in 2 to 3 minutes twice per day. Goldfish are known to appear as though they are hungry all the time, but this is just a ploy to get more unneeded food.
