In one person's opinion, hybrid cars are not ugly. In another peson's opinion, they are ugly. It is entirely your opinion whether a hybrid car is ugly or not.
I don't know what you mean by ugly but hybrid and electric cars are shaped much more aerodynamically (for reduced air drag and thus better fuel economy) than many other cars. I know some people don't like this shape, but more cars of all types are gradually being designed that way as improving fuel economy becomes a more significant design requirement. This is just considered more important to hybrid and electric cars, so they were designed that way first.
