The rectangular keyboard allows you to use all ten of your fingers more or less equally when typing. A round keyboard would tend to create too much dependency on the overworked index fingers, which could make typing slower. However, if you think a round keyboard would work, go ahead and build one, and give it a try.

Logitech keyboards have softer presses then Microsoft keyboards. You may or may not prefer this.

There are no special SWTOR keyboards released to date. There are programmable keyboards that can be used however.
