Hair is a way to keep warm and have protection from the harmful part of sunlight. When human ancestors became bipedal (walking on two legs), they lost bodily hair and developed darker skin. The darker skin protected the skin from sun damage. The loss of hair gave a larger area of bare skin which would help cool the body when sweating. These traits (and others) allowed humans to be out in the Savannah during the hottest part of the day when other animals (especially dangerous ones) were trying to cool themselves in the shade. Humans were also able to use persistent hunting as well, because they had a more effective cooling system then their prey. Chimpanzees live in dense forests and don't need to spend so much time in the sun because there is a lot of shade within the forest, so having no hair wouldn't be much of an advantage.

They are not our ancestors so we would not be hairy like them.

One hypothesis is sexual selection. Human females, for whatever reason, selected less hirsute mates.

If evolution is true then why there is no species excisting in between chimpansie and human?

Humans did not evolve from chimpanzees, rather both humans and chimpanzees share a common ancestor. A division happened with this common ancestor....some went on to become chimpanzees and some went on to become modern humans. There are common ancestors to both humans and chimps, but they are long extinct.

What evidence is there that humans did NOT descend from chimpanzees?

Humans did not directly descend from modern-day chimpanzees; rather, we share a common ancestry with them. The evidence for this lies in the fossil record, genetic studies, and comparative anatomy, which all point to a divergence between the evolutionary lineages of humans and chimpanzees around 6-8 million years ago.
