Why are most Presidents from the east coast?

Because America was discovered and settled on the East coast. Therefore most authority during its early settlement came from the surrounding areas. It expanded and finally reached the west coast after decades, for a long time the west was looked at as home to barbarians (native americans). For quite awhile the east coast was the only civil and settled place, also it has always been home to the nations capital. Washington D.C. is one of the most central political location in the world if not the most central.
