I really think the Fast and the Furious is popular because the action. It isn't even about the cars. The point that they literally broke into a police station and then stole a millions of dollars from there and then in the next movie that they shot down a flying plane and dom saving letty life by jumping and catching her between two bridges so high above the water and being followed by a tank then in the last movie furious 7 how the fighting and breaking into a prince pent house stealing his car which they're only 7 of in the whole world and being followed by a drone that is constantly shooting at you.
The cars are cool and the chicks and the guys in the movies is a big bonus to our generation . the first few movie weren't popular until at least fast 5 came out because the trailer looked so good fans watched all of them and discovered how these movies are action filled with nice cars and some fast races is what made people fans of all the movies.
