Because they are named for different categories so, like string instruments they all have strings like the Base and a bunch of other kinds like the wood categories
Adolphe Sax named his own creation, the Saxophone, after himself, as did Leon Termen when he invented the theremin, Maurice Martenot with the Ondes Martenot and Friderich Trautwein with the Trautonium. There's probably many more, more obscure examples.
It's not named after a person. It's named after the musical register where it plays.
